Transfer: Chelsea has revealed five first-team players who will go this summer.

About five first-team players whose contracts are up this summer have been identified by name.

According to a story in the Evening Standard, Mason Mount may organise a season-ending departure from Chelsea.

Along with Edouard Mendy, N'Golo Kante, Conor Gallagher, Mateo Kovacic, and others, their futures at Stamford Bridge are in jeopardy due to contract negotiations.

All of the aforementioned players, whose contract negotiations at the west London club have stalled, are available for release by Chelsea.

The new owners are anxious to avoid the errors made by the previous administration, which allowed players like Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger to leave Chelsea for free transfers to Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.

While Kovacic will enter the final year of his contract this summer, Chelsea has not yet started contract negotiations with the Croatian star. Mount and Chelsea have been in contract negotiations for some time, but the England international has not yet reached an agreement.

Since Graham Potter replaced Thomas Tuchel as manager, Mendy has lost his starting position to Kepa Arrizabalaga, while Kante is nearing the end of his current contract with Chelsea and is unwilling to accept the two-year offer put forth.

Everton even made a £40 million offer for Gallagher during the January transfer window, but the Blues decided to keep the midfielder instead and instead sold Jorginho to a rival team.
