Bola Tinubu, the APC's nominee for president, recently commented on the actress Funke Akindele.
In a widely circulated video, some singers are heard singing about the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and those running against him, including Funke Tinubu.
He can be heard telling the audience that mentioning the actress' name where he is is an insult in the Yoruba language.
The 2022 election campaign is underway, and as is customary, politicians are responding to their opposition in a variety of ways at various levels.
However, a popular video that captured the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu responding to some singers at the state party stakeholders meeting at the state APC headquarters has sparked discussion on social media.
The singers were heard making songs on Funke Akindele, who is running for deputy governor under the Peoples Democratic Party, as well as opposition candidates against Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (PDP).
In response to the singers, Tinubu stated that it was disrespectful to bring up the actress' name in his presence.
