 Six men and two women, all citizens of Nigeria, have been detained by police in connection with a deadly altercation that occurred inside a nightclub in the Jalan Tun Razak neighborhood of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The victim of the incident was another Nigerian.

The event happened early on October 2, 2022, when the deceased, Toheeb Salau nicknamed Gentee, confronted Goru Emerald Edirin for reportedly harassing his expectant wife, Toyin.

The deceased's wife reportedly received a buttslap from the suspect Edirin, also known as Forthy, a suspected member of a cult.

"The deceased was in a clubhouse with his pregnant wife when the cultist—who is the head of the Aye confraternity in Malaysia—slapped her buttocks. People interfered and broke up an almost fight between him and the cultist at the clubhouse, according to a source.

After that, the victim departed for another club. The cutist and his crew pursued him to the next club, where he was fatally stabbed and two of his pals were hurt," the insider continued.

While being treated at the hospital for his terrible wounds, Toheeb, 32, passed away; the other two are in critical condition.

A police officer at the Pudu police station informed a police officer on duty at the Wangsa Maju control center at 5.35am on Sunday that three African citizens had been hurt during a gang fight and were being treated at a private hospital, according to Supt Ashari Abu Samah, the district police chief for the Wangsa Maju district. He also confirmed the incident.

Investigations turned up evidence that the victims had fought with a group of Africans. A 32-year-old guy who was one among the victims passed away in the hospital from his serious injuries. According to a statement made by the suspect, he is thought to have had the back of his neck sliced.

The eight foreigners who were detained, who ranged in age from 26 to 40, were transferred to the Wangsa Maju District police headquarters for further processing and the matter was being looked into for possible murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code, according to Ashari.
