Governor Obaseki and inspector general of police, alkali baba commission a 1.6km road and other facilities at the police training school, ogida baracks, benin city.

At the Police Training School at Ogida Barracks in Benin City, the 1.6 kilometre road and other facilities were officially opened by the IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, and governor obaseki earlier today.

A 450-seat theatre, three huge halls, female and male hostels A and B, multipurpose halls A, B, and C, classroom blocks, a bore hole with an overhead tank, and a school clinic are only a few of the school's features.

In his opening speach, he said;

We also inspected a Command and Control Centre behind the John Odigie-Oyegun Training Academy, GRA; an accommodation for the special squad deployed to the state to complement our efforts at fighting land grabbers, and six blocks of 3-bedroom flats built for officers of the Nigerian Police Force in the state.

The focus of my administration is on the people because policing is all about the people. In supporting security in this country, we thought it proper to assist the Police Force refurbish their facilities and utilise them to reinforce the security system in the state.
