Gen.Enenche breaks silence on Peter Obi, Lekki toll gate killings.

Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, Major General John Enenche (ret.) has endorsed Peter Obi, the candidate for president of the Labour Party, LP.

Enenche recently urged well-meaning Nigerians from all social classes to participate in the country's political process in order to elect credible, qualified, and capable leaders in 2023.

The retired army general urged Nigerians of good conscience to follow suit, saying that he has chosen to speak out rather than remain silent.

In a statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday, he said, "Therefore, I made bold to openly and objectively support the candidature of HE Mr Peter Obi and Dr Yusuf Ahmed-Datti without fear or contraction."

Enenche claims that his choice is based on his knowledge of Obi and his vice presidential candidate, who he has known for approximately 17 years and 5 years, respectively. He also claims that both men are capable of giving the country effective leadership that would ensure effective support.

"This is what Nigeria needs right now to get over all the difficulties that have been placed in front of the populace during the past 20 years.

"I think all Obidient Nigerians and others who support and struggle to restore our nation to its former glory have the same commitment as me.

"In this regard, I make a plea to everyone involved in this effort to allow us to keep concentration in order to complete this crucial objective.

"Let me say right here that many of us in this liberation effort have a lot to give and contribute based on knowledge gained over time in excess of thirty years, that will give solid foundation to

Nigerian government will be led by the Labour Party starting in 2023.

"Dear Countrymen and Countrywomen, When I was appointed to the Labour Party's campaign council, there were comments on social media to my statement regarding a video taken at the scene of the ENDARS incident at the Lekki toll gate on October 20, 2020.

According to their individual analyses and the information they had access to, "everyone who commented in any way was right. Based on the sacred oath of devotion I took while entering the military, I labored both personally and professionally with the best interests of Nigerians at heart.

"I sincerely felt the pain of that breaking news, so to speak, through social media. On that topic, I want to reassure everyone that further work will be done so that all claims can be substantiated from reliable sources.
