Graham Potter has been appointed as Chelsea's next manager.

Graham Potter has been named as Chelsea's new manager, the team has announced.

The former Brighton manager signed a five-year deal, the Blues said in an official statement issued on Thursday afternoon.

Potter takes over for Thomas Tuchel, who was fired by Blues co-owner Todd Boehly only yesterday.

On completing the transfer to Chelsea, Potter said: “I am immensely happy and delighted to represent Chelsea FC, this magnificent football club.

"I am really thrilled to work with Chelsea's new ownership group and look forward to meeting and collaborating with the dynamic set of players and establishing a squad and culture that our incredible supporters can be proud of.

I also want to express my gratitude to Brighton & Hove Albion for giving me this chance, and in particular to Tony Bloom and all the players, staff, and fans for their unwavering support throughout my time there.
