Athletics: Amusan receives the Order of the Niger, OON honour from President Buhari

Tobi Amusan received the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) on Thursday from President Muhammadu Buhari.

After taking home the gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon, United States of America, Amusan recently made headlines.
In the process, Amusan also broke a world record.

The 25-year-old was the first male or female athlete from Nigeria to accomplish the accomplishment.
At the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom, the athlete, who was born in Ogun State, also took home a gold medal in the same competition.

She successfully defended her Diamond League title just last week.

The athlete also surpassed Gail Devers of America's record, held for 22 years.
