As a result of gunmen abducting the Sapele-Okpe community Youth Chairman, known only by his first name Egbejule, on Wednesday, there is unrest in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area, Delta State.
Bendelnews discovered that the Chairman was being kidnapped by gunmen while playing football at Ogodo Primary School in Sapele's Ajogodo Area.
While children protested the kidnapping, thieves took advantage of the situation.
On Thursday morning, adolescents in Ajogodo came out in large groups and barricaded the main road leading to Ogodo Primary School, forcing locals to flee for safety.
The troops had to act quickly to disperse the youths.
