War: Russia strikes a southern city, killing Vadatursky and his wife, dealing a huge blow to Ukraine

Oleksiy Vadatursky, the owner of one of the biggest grain exporting and producing firms in the nation, was killed by heavy Russian airstrikes that struck the southern Ukrainian port city of Mykolaiv overnight and early on Sunday.

Governor of Mykolaiv Vitaliy Kim revealed this on Telegram, according to NAN.

Kim claims that Vadatursky, the creator and proprietor of the agricultural firm Nibulon, and his wife were murdered there.

A modern grain market with a network of transhipment terminals and elevators was being built by the industrialist, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky, who called Vadatursky's passing "a big loss for all of Ukraine."

According to Oleksandr Senkevych, the city's mayor, three other people were hurt during the attacks in Mikolaiv.

Twelve missiles had also impacted residential and educational targets, Senkevych continued.

The attacks, according to him, were "perhaps the most powerful" on the city during the conflict's five-month history.

Russia and Ukraine are both major suppliers of grain at the moment.

In a tweet sent on Sunday via his Twitter account, Zelensky stated that the invasion may cause Ukraine to harvest only half as much as usual this year.

Zelensky tweeted, "Ukrainian harvest this year is under the prospect of being twice less," implying half as much as usual.

"Our main objective is to stop the global food crisis brought on by the Russian invasion.
