For a few weeks now, supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Gregory Obi have been at odds with outspoken activist and sociopolitical commentator Reno Omokri.
Supporters of the former governor of Anambra state recently went so far as to start a petition drive to outlaw Mr. Omokri's social media accounts.
This time, Reno Omokri has responded to Senator Datti Baba-position Ahmed's on the LGBTQ community, which is shared by Peter Obi's running mate.
Remember how Senator Datti called for the murder of LGBTQ people in an old video that reappeared and caused controversy? Others countered that it is not a major issue, while some criticised his ideas.
Reno Omokri, however, thinks it is disingenuous for Peter Obi's followers to denounce the murder of Deborah Samuels for blasphemy while also supporting Senator Datti Baba-viewpoints Ahmed's on the LGBTQ community.
He said this: "How can you defend Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed when you previously denounced her for calling for the execution of LGBTQ persons after she was murdered and burned alive for blasphemy? It demonstrates that politics, not morality, governs how outraged you are."
