SALE OF NNPC: What Atiku Said That Was Used Against Him In 2019 Has Finally Come To Pass-Mr. Jonathan Vatsa.

Mr. Jonathan Vatsa, a former commissioner for information, culture, and tourism as well as a top APC official in Niger State, has noted that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president and PDP presidential candidate, has been vindicated by President Muhammadu Buhari's decision to commercialise the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

He claimed that in 2019, while Atiku was running for president, he had informed Nigerians that the NNPC needed to be auctioned off since it was no longer necessary.

In response to the Minna development, Vatsa claimed that Atiku's stance at the time about the bankrupt organisation was later exploited against him, leading Nigerians to believe that he intended to transfer the business to himself, friends, or allies.

According to him, what Atiku said in 2019 that was exploited against him eventually came to pass. As of right now, 200 million Nigerians are shareholders in the new Nigerian National Company Limited, which means that the NNPC has been sold out.

The former state APC publicity secretary claimed that President Buhari's administration's failure to fix any of the four refineries in the nation is a drawback of selling NNPC.

He claims, "Instead of making them work, we chose to settle for an imported refined petroleum product and paying enormous subsidies, which we initially disclosed to Nigerians was a lie.

"All the refineries in this nation should be sold out to individuals for efficiency and productivity, not just the NNPC, so that the government can stop wasting billions of naira on maintaining non-operational refineries and paying the wages of redundant workers."
