Ronaldo's pay is reduced by Man Utd to £360,000 as he considers leaving the club.

One of the reasons Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United is the club's decision to lower player salaries.

The team's salary have been decreased by 25% as a result of United's inability to make the Champions League.

Sources close to Ronaldo, according to the Manchester Evening News, claim that the star has been "upset" by it.

When he returned to Old Trafford, Ronaldo signed a contract worth £480,000 a week.

His base weekly salary for the upcoming season is now £360,000 due to the reduction.

Due to "family issues," the 37-year-old was the only foreign player who did not report back for preseason on Monday and Tuesday at United's Carrington training facility.
