Rev. Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, a Nigerian Catholic priest working in Malawi, has accused Reno Omokri, a sociopolitical activist, of trying to harm Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate.
According to DAILY POST, Omokri, a steadfast supporter of the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, published many tweets on his social media accounts that damaged Obi's character.
Additionally, Omokri claimed that some "Obi-dients" threatened to harm his daughter. He also claimed that Obi supporters had been attacking him on social media.
Fr Kelvin, who was incensed by Omokri's recent tweet denouncing Mr. Obi's interview with Arise TV, claimed that Reno was responsible for certain unfavourable reports regarding the actions of "Obi-dients."
The man of God stated on his verified Facebook page, "Who first shared Peter Obi's picture printed on a Muslim mat and made it go viral?" Reno!
"Who exploited the mat and picture to incite a Muslim-Christian conflict with arguments about tolerance and intolerance, prompting Peter Obi to issue a disclaimer?" Reno!
"Who manipulated a photo of Peter Obi with Kwankwaso to create the false narrative that Peter Obi is attempting to marginalise Kwankwaso in "his own party"?" Reno!
"Who is working so hard to make Peter Obi appear to be nothing more than an Igbo project?" Reno!
"Who is it that is attempting to dupe Peter Obi's followers by emotionally blackmailing them and accusing them of cyberbullying?"
