Shu'aibu Adamu, 28, was found guilty of killing his wife and was sentenced to death by hanging by the Jigawa State High Court in Dutse.
According to Section 221(b) of the Penal Code, the crime of culpable homicide is punishable, according to the presiding judge, Hon. Justice Ahmed Muhammad Abubakar.
Justice Ahmed stated in his ruling that the prosecution's case was proven beyond a reasonable doubt by the testimony of four witnesses.
The accused was determined by the court to have committed the crime, which carries a death penalty.
