The attack on a pastor in the state's northern region, which resulted in the deaths of his two boys, prompted a response from the Adamawa State Government on Wednesday.
The gunmen who had invaded Reverend Daniel Umaru's house in Njairi, in the Mubi Local Government Area, shot the pastor, killed his two sons, and kidnapped his daughter, who was 13 years old.
Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of the state, condemned the actions of the unnamed gunmen and requested that the appropriate security authorities apprehend them in a statement released by his press secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou.
"Governor Fintiri, while expressing his sympathies to the family over the killing of their children, described the action of the shooters as terrible and savage," said the statement that was emailed to DAILY POST on Wednesday night.
