On Tuesday, July 5, terrorists attacked President Muhammadu Buhari's advance team near Dutsinma, Katsina State.
In a statement, the presidential spokesman Garba Shehu confirmed the attack and said that two people were hurt.
The terrorists attacked a "convoy of cars carrying the Advance Team of security guards, protocol and media officers" before President Muhammadu Buhari went to Daura for Sallah.
The message said;
"The Presidency says that the shooting near Dutsinma, Katsina State, of the cars carrying the Advance Team of security guards, protocol officers, and media officers before President Muhammadu Buhari's trip to Daura for Sallah was sad and unwelcome.
"The attackers fired on the convoy from ambush positions, but the military, police, and DSS members who were with the convoy stopped them.
"Two people in the convoy are getting care for minor injuries they got. All the other people, staff, and vehicles got to Daura safely."
