On Tuesday, a Dana Air Boeing 737 with the registration number (5N DNA) made an emergency landing after one of its engines malfunctioned while the plane was in the air.
In a statement, the airline acknowledged the event, which happened at around 2:52 p.m.
All 100 passengers, according to the airline, successfully exited at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport without incident.
The message claimed, in part: "Our Boeing 737 aeroplane, headed for Abuja, with registration number (5N DNA), embarked on an emergency landing today, July 19, 2022, due to an indication on one of its engines.
The plane was safely landed at the Abuja Airport after the pilot in command briefed the passengers on the event.
The airline said that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had been informed of the problem and that the aircraft had been grounded so that the engineering team could give it quick attention.
