Villages in Kogi under attack by suspected militias, three people killed.

Three people were slain and two villages were burned down by suspected militias in Kogi State's Bassa Local Government Area.

According to the DAILY POST, the incident occurred on Thursday night and resulted in the burning of eight houses in Mozum, the capital of the Egbura Mozum kingdom, as well as the full destruction of two villages, Baze and Anki.

Two of the deceased were male, while the other was female, according to reports.

Ahmedu Abubakar, the Secretary of the Mozum Traditional Council, verified the incidence to DAILY POST on Saturday.

He claimed that the accused militias are Bassa Kwomu, who were hired to assault their kingdom from the Agatu area of Benue State.

"They came and invaded Mozum, the Egbura Mozum kingdom's capital. They set fire to eight homes.

The attack was expanded to two Egbura communities, Baze and Anki, by the Bassa Kwomu Militias. They set fire to the entire communities and murdered two men and a woman.
