Chelsea's bid to swap four players in the deal that will see Romelu Lukaku return to Italy has been rejected by Inter.
Lukaku is on the verge of returning to Inter on a season-long loan, less than a year after joining Chelsea for £97.5 million.
Inter will take a €10 million loan fee plus add-ons from Chelsea, while Thomas Tuchel has given his okay for the Belgian striker to return to San Siro.
Chelsea also considered include Lautaro Martinez, Denzel Dumfries, Milan Skriniar, and Alessandro Bastoni in the deal, according to Goal.
Chelsea's efforts, though, were "rejected out of hand" by the Serie A club, which is determined to keep its key players this summer.
