In Umuahia, Abia State, suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked a pastor named Apostle Delight Uzo and kidnapped his colleagues.
According to reports, the assailants stabbed Apostle Delight in the chest and stomach, and he is currently in the hospital.
According to Bethel Nwakaku, a Facebook user who corroborated the occurrence on Wednesday, June 1, another pastor, Uche Okoro, and his wife were kidnapped by the gunmen late Saturday night.
"Can the governors of the south-east, with their military and police forces, claim ignorance of the fulani criminals' invasion on Igbo land?" Nwakaku wrote.
"This is Apostle Delight Uzo Proph, my brother and friend, who was killed and stabbed in the heart and stomach by Fulani bandits near Umuahia on Saturday night.
"He and one other fled half-dead, while Pastor Uche Okoro and his wife were taken.
"Absu students are kidnapped and slaughtered on a daily basis. I can now categorically state that the "mystery gunmen" are Fulani Islamists. The Methodist Church's prelate also acknowledged that he was kidnapped by Fulanis.
"I call on Nigeria's political leaders, the Nigerian Army, and the Nigerian Police Force to rise and flush them out because there is already so much rage in the country."
