Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has warned against a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
PFN's National President, Wale Oke, issued the warning and promised to rally the organization's members to vote against any party running a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2023 election.
After the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Lagos on Thursday, Oke declared Sunday, June 26, 2022, as PVC Day in all its churches nationwide, saying that members would be required to show their PVCs before entering the church, and those without PVCs would be directed to go out and get theirs before the deadline.

Oke went on to say that PFN is opposing the Muslim-Muslim ticket not because of religion, but because of fairness and equity.
According to him, the 2023 election has the ability to unite Nigeria across ethnic and religious lines, but it also has the capacity to scatter the country if not handled correctly.
"For Nigeria, a Christian-Christian and Muslim-Muslim ticket will not work. The Muslim-Muslim ticket is unjust since it will marginalise over 54 percent of the Christian population.
"If a party does not listen to our advise and all that the church has said, they will meet us at the polls, and we will be waiting for them," he threatened.
"The issue of voter indifference will not be a factor in this election." We will deliberate and present a clear direction for the church after PVC Sunday, in partnership with May, so that we can provide block votes to a candidate who can unite this nation, a party that will not encourage the murder of Deborah.
"All parties will be given a fair chance." We're forming a high-powered member committee to meet with all parties and discuss how they'll address insecurity and other issues.
"We want a just nation that caters to all of its citizens, regardless of religion," he added. "We encourage all believers to register and obtain their PVCs while waiting for instructions."
