Mr Michael Tertsea Aboh, a member of the defunct music group Zule Zoo, has died.
According to current sources, the "Kerewawa" dance crooner died on Saturday morning in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State.
In a statement on his official Facebook page, Terna Rapsody Hyacinth, who is close to the Family, verified the news.
"I wish people were as anxious to help you survive when you were alive and suffering on the streets of Makurdi as they are to inform the world of your death today!!" he wrote. "Legend will keep you company."
Hassan Ibrahim, called Ibro, Aboh's music partner, said that Aboh was addicted to drugs and alcohol and that he was psychologically disturbed.
Aboh has been in Makurdi since his life in Lagos State became miserable.
In a recent interview, Aboh denied reports that he was mentally disturbed. He did concede, though, that he has faced a number of difficulties since relocating from Lagos.
