breaking: Priest Fr. Osia, who was taken hostage earlier today, has been confirmed murdered by suspected bandicts.

 

 Rev. Father Osia, a Catholic priest who was taken by gunmen early this morning in Edo State, is said to have been killed.

The priest was taken from the Ikabigbo community in the Etsako West Local Government Area of the state on Sunday morning, the DAILY POST said.

In a post on his verified Facebook page on Sunday night, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, who is also a Catholic Priest, said that the murder had happened.

He wrote, "Sad news: Rev. Fr. Christopher Osia, the priest of Auchi diocese, who was taken hostage on his way to mass this morning, June 26, 2022, has been killed."

At the time this report was written, not much was known about what happened.
