Blasphemy: Commercial Sex Worker Burnt To Death In Lagos For Keeping A Quran In Her Room.

Three individuals have been charged by the Lagos State Police Command with murdering a prostitute, Hannah Saliu, and setting her body on fire for storing the Holy Quran in her chamber.

PUNCH According to Metro, one of the suspects was a regular customer of Saliu's, and after having intercourse with her, he allegedly paid her N1,000 for the service.

The customer was claimed to have left her room when she found her N5,000 had been stolen.

She allegedly chased down the customer, accusing him of stealing her money.

However, the charge quickly devolved into a debate.

The customer allegedly summoned his pals to Saliu's room to look for the missing cash.

During their search, the friends allegedly discovered a Quran under her pillow.

Saliu was questioned for having the Quran with the type of job she was performing, according to a source, who said that the customer and his buddies were enraged by the finding and pounced on her, beating her up and setting her flames.

"What happened was that the girl was a prostitute and a customer patronised her. After sleeping with her, the guy paid N1,000 for her service," the source explained.

"However, when the customer was leaving, he stole the prostitute's N5,000, and when she realised her money was missing, she pursued him down to ask for it.

"The Northerners, who were with the customer who the girl accused of stealing her money, inquired if she was sure he did." As a result, they decided to check her room, where she dealt with her customers.

"While searching the room, they discovered a Quran under her pillow and began questioning her about how she used the Quran as a prostitute." As a result, they began attacking her; they stabbed her, dragged her outside, and burned her on fire.

"The event occurred in Alaba Rago, which is home to many Northerners. The girl who was murdered was also from the north. Their complaint was that she wasn't supposed to be carrying the Quran because of the nature of her profession."

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police public relations officer, confirmed the occurrence.

"The case is currently being investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba, and three individuals have been charged in court," he stated. In April, there was an incident."

The suspects have been named as Abubakar Musa, Sarauta Monsur, and Surajo Yusuf, according to a source.
