71 alleged armed robbers, kidnappers, cattle rustlers, and others captured in Ondo by Amotekun.

Following the recent security breach in Ondo State, agents of the Amotekun Corps, also known as the Ondo State Security Network Agency, have stepped up their efforts to capture offenders around the state.

Many suspects, including kidnappers, armed robbers, cultists, and cattle rustlers among others, have been detained, according to the Amotekun Commander in the state, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye.

Adeleye revealed that the arrests had been made during the previous month while parading 71 individuals at its headquarters in Alagbaka, Akure, and Ondo State.

The Amotekun Commander noted that after the suspects committed crimes, the Amotekun men followed them to the criminal hideouts.

He stated that approximately 50 motorcycles were found during the operation and added that a cartel that specialises in stealing and dismantling motorcycles was also captured.

"We have come under intense attack during the past three weeks. Men from the Ondo State Security Network Agency have also searched for these offenders in vain.

"Some herdsmen reported to us that their cattle had been taken. We pursued them and returned the cows to the Fulani herdsmen who owned them.

The Amotekun leader insisted that the suspect will be brought before a judge for prosecution following investigations.
