APC loses Gov. Ayade's Senate bid

Ben Ayade, the governor of Cross River State, has been denied a ticket to contest for the Northern Senatorial District of the state by the All Progressives Congress, APC.

In 2023, the governor will complete his eight years as governor of the state.

In May 2021, he left the main opposition party, the PDP, to pursue his presidential ambitions, which he announced in April.
