Two individuals riding a motorcycle with a fresh human head and hands were detained in Kwara State by police operatives.

SP Okasanmi Ajayi, the state's Police Public Relations Officer, made the announcement in a press statement on Sunday.

The suspects were apprehended by a squad of police officers on patrol near Oke Oyi/Jebba road on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at around 11:30 a.m., while attempting to elude officers on stop and search duty, according to the statement.

The suspects confessed to taking the fresh human head and hands to an Alfa in Ilorin for ritual purposes while being interrogated by the police.

In a statement, Kwara State Commissioner of Police, CP Tuesday Assayono, promised that the accused ritualists would be punished as soon as the inquiry was completed.

"They attempted to elude the cops on stop and search duty, which piqued the operatives' interest, prompting them to give the suspects a hard pursuit and bring them to a halt." During the search, a bag containing a fresh human head and hands was discovered in their possession.
