Ukraine War: I believe that Putin must fail

Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has declared that Russian President Vladimir Putin must fail.

Johnson described the Russian invasion of Ukraine as worse than expected during a visit to the Ukraine-Poland border with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Because Ukraine is facing a "unfolding disaster," Johnson promised to send weapons and aid to the East European country.

Putin, according to the British Prime Minister, has underestimated Ukrainians' desire to defend their country against external aggressors.

"I'm afraid to say that the tragedy that we predicted has come to pass, and it is, if anything, worse than our predictions," Johnson says. On the European continent, we are witnessing a disaster unfolding.

"It's clear that Vladimir Putin is willing to use barbaric and indiscriminate tactics against innocent civilians, such as bombing tower blocks, sending missiles into tower blocks, and killing children, as we're seeing in growing numbers."

"As this heinous conflict progresses, I am absolutely convinced — more convinced than ever — that Putin will fail. Putin must fail, and I am confident that we will be able to protect and preserve a sovereign, independent, and democratic Ukraine.
