Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack: TUC Secretary General, Kwara Chairman, among those killed in train attack.

Comrade Quadri Olaleye, President of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, has revealed that its Secretary General, Comrade (Barr.) Musa-Lawal Ozigi, and Kwara State Chairman, Comrade Akin Akinsola, were killed in a terrorist attack in Kaduna on Monday night.

He claimed they were among those killed by bandits in the Abuja-Kaduna train bombing, which occurred around 7:00 p.m. yesterday.

They were on their way to Kaduna, according to Olaleye, for an official assignment scheduled for today, Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

Before joining the Congress in 2012, Comrade Ozigi worked for almost two decades as the General Secretary of the Construction and Civil Engineering Senior Staff Association (CCESSA), a TUC affiliate.

Under OLAM, Comrade Akinsola worked for Dangote Flour Mill. They'd both been in the trade union movement for a long time.

We urge all levels of government, particularly the Federal Government, to rise to the occasion and put an end to the killing of innocent Nigerians. As things stand, we can't go by air, we can't travel by road, and we can't travel by rail. Nigeria, is it a failing state? It is regrettable.

"The Congress expresses its heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of our colleagues, as well as the good people of Kogi State, for this tragic loss." "May God rest their souls," begged the TUC President.
