Metro: ISWAP attacks four villages in Borno, killing 13 people.

In Borno State, northeast Nigeria, at least 13 people were reportedly killed by fighters from the Islamic State for West African Province, ISWAP, in less than 48 hours.

ISWAP is said to have attacked Sabongari village, a few kilometres outside of Damboa town in the state's Damboa Local Government Area, on Sunday.

Local vigilantes told the DAILY POST on Sunday that the attackers killed seven people.

This comes just 24 hours after an attack was reported in Biu Local Government Area's Mandaragirau and Ghuma villages.

b It was also less than 48 hours since insurgents attacked Chibok's Kautikari village, killing several people.

Locals in Mandaragirau village say the insurgents will attack their village for the second time in February.

They came and abducted some young men from the village the first time, according to them, and they are still in captivity.

According to locals, the attack in Mandaragirau village killed three people and injured many more.

"They kidnapped two girls and looted food in Ghuma village. "They also demolished shops and stole livestock," one Umar Audu told our correspondent.
