Man kidnapped and held as a 'blood Bank'.

After being duped by a phoney employment advertisement, a guy was kidnapped and held hostage as a "blood slave" for months.

The Chinese man, who goes by the surname Li, was kidnapped and escaped earlier this month with the help of a member of the kidnapping ring.

According to the South China Morning Post, the man is currently being treated in a hospital and is in a stable condition.

A bogus employment advertisement enticed Li to cross the China-Vietnam border, where he was held at gunpoint.

For £15 thousand, he was sold to a Cambodian gang running the fraud scam.

Since August 2021, the gang in Cambodia has taken 800ml of Li's blood every month.

The maximum amount of blood that can be safely donated is 500ml each donation, according to the guidelines.

The blood was allegedly sold to private buyers on the internet.

Li's arms were covered in bruises and needle marks when he was admitted to the hospital last week.

After finding he was an orphan and couldn't be used for a ransom, the man who had worked as a security guard in Shenzhen and Beijing refused to be a part of the gang's fraud scheme and was instead used as a "blood slave."

Seven other guys were arrested in the same room as Li, according to Li.

The group collected more blood from him than the other seven since he had an O negative blood type, which the guy who examined him stated was "very valuable."

If the man did not contribute his blood, he was threatened with being sold to illegal organ harvesters.

The Chinese embassy in Cambodia dispatched personnel to pay a visit to Li in hospital, stating that it had been instructed to do so.
