Breaking: JAMB candidate killed, others kidnapped in Kaduna.

Government Science Secondary School, Birnin-Gwari in Kaduna State was attacked and killed by terrorists who were attempting to get into the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, as a prospective candidate.

The victim was on his way to register for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Kaduna when he was attacked by terrorists.

He managed to get away with a bullet wound, but he died later.

A statement from Ibrahim Abubakar Nagwari, Chairman of the Birnin Gwari Vanguard for Security and Good Governance, explained that the terrorists killed seven members of the local community in the attack.

A local official bemoaned the resurgence of violence in the area, saying that it had become something that the residents had to deal with on a daily basis as they were terrorised by terrorists.

He went on to say that three other people managed to escape with minor injuries, and that a total of 57 people had been abducted.

The "nightmare of armed banditry along the Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna highway has gotten even worse in the last twenty-four hours," according to him.
