In the first quarter of the Golden State Warriors' victory over the New York Knicks, Curry equaled and then broke Ray Allen's record.
During the Golden State Warriors' 105-96 victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, Stephen Curry passed Ray Allen to become the NBA's all-time leader in career 3-pointers with a pair of first-quarter triples.
Curry surpassed the 3-point record in 789 games, which is 511 fewer games than Allen (1,300) needed. Curry has stated that after breaking the record, "it'll just be about how far you can push it."
Curry now needs just 26 more 3-pointers to reach 3,000 for his career, a feat that no other player in NBA history has accomplished.
