You Have 48hours To Sack Revenue Board Chairman-kano Assembly.

In order to delete the chairman of the State Revenue Board Abdul Rašak Salihi for his violation of the country's constitutional provisions as well as for its disregard to the legislature, the Kano State Parliament issued an ultimatum for the 48 hours of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

In spite of a number of demands from the legislature, the President was reportedly refusing to divulge to the house the situation of State income collection.

At the same time, he wrote and submitted reports to the Government through the Permanent Secretary, Land Office.

The Speaker, Hamisu Chidari, voiced his displeasure with the chairman's casual demeanor when he was summoned but lied to them.

The revenue chairman was also accused of conspiring with the government without the House's knowledge to reduce the Independent Petroleum Manufacturers Association of Nigeria's (IPMAN) ground tenement rates from N250 to N100, which the House described as a total violation of the country's constitution.

The parliamentarians expressed their dissatisfaction with the chairman's performance in revenue collection, as well as his lack of understanding of what revenue involved, in separate statements on the House floor.

Chidari, on the other hand, said that the House resolved to form an eight-member committee to study why Kano fell to 10th place in revenue collections from second place after Lagos.

Magaji Dahiru Zarewa, the House Finance Chairman, led an eight-member committee to examine the state's declining revenue collection and the chairman's unlawful acts.
