Nigeria, according to the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), requires a president who will act in the “opposite direction” of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Dr. Judge Baba-Ahmed, NEF's Director of Publicity and Advocacy, announced the news on Arise TV's The Morning Show breakfast show on Tuesday.

Baba Ahmed laments that no Nigerian, not even those who have served in the government of the entire Progressive Congress, is satisfied with Bukhari (APC).

Nigeria, he believes, requires a president who understands the need to rebuild the country, secure the country, and boost the economy.

"This nation needs a leader who does things the President (Muhammad) didn't, who creates inclusion, addresses hatred and frustration in other parts of the country and the north, and speaks and acts for everyone," he said.

Baba-Ahmed added that the 17 southern governors should stop threatening the north that their territories should represent the country's president by 2023.

He boasted that the north had the type of population that gave the region a strong position.

However, he noted that the north and south still need each other because no region can produce a president without the support of others.

He described the position of Governor of the South as a threat and intimidation that the South should produce a President by 2023.

Baba Ahmed has been criticized since Saturday when he said at an event in Zaria, Kaduna, that the north should not accept southern countries' request that the south should produce a successor to President Muhammadu Bukhari by 2023.
He said, “Of course no one should be a second-class citizen, not from the north. This country was not built for two or class citizens, namely the beauty of democracy.

"What we're saying is that you can't force the north to give up the south of the country, the right granted by the constitution, our right to choose the people we want. If you force us to do it, it makes us.. Second class citizens who let the process go. democracy decides who the president is.

“We understand desperate people, the kind of people who say if you want justice, if you want justice, you have to demote the southern presidency, but we said that's not how you can ask for the southern presidency. Don't threaten us with violence and intimidation. "

Baba Ahmed said the north lived under southern presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan because Nigeria returned to democratic rule in 1999 and had no problems with that.

Therefore, he urged politicians in the south not to argue about who would replace Bukhari to divide the counThe Nordic Elders Forum (NEF) says Nigeria needs a president who is "opposite" to petelling, with Muhammadu Bukhari arriving in 2023.
