Although the event has yet to be confirmed by officials, a security source disclosed that it happened in the early hours of Tuesday.
The bandits who arrived in a car were alleged to have entered the academy through the security gate while disguised in military attire, then went to the officers' quarters.
When they arrived, they began firing sporadically, killing two officers (a Major and a Squadron Leader) and subsequently taking another Major away through the neighboring bush inside the academy.
The sound of shooting, on the other hand, alerted NDA Quick Response Team members, who arrived on the spot but were unable to rescue the kidnapped officer since the bandits had already fled with the victim.
A joint security force has initiated a manhunt for the bandits inside the bush, including air surveillance, with the goal of apprehending them and rescuing the kidnapped officer.
