BENIN REPUBLIC: THE LOWEST PUNISHMENT IGBOHO CAN GET IS TO DEPORT HIM BACK TO NIGERIA

 

A source in Benin disclosed yesterday that his country was not ready to enter into a diplomatic crisis with Nigeria and that because of their wise meeting, it would be unhealthy to imprison Sunday Adeyemo aka Igboho in his country. 

Lawyers opposed his deportation, officials in the Republic of Benin said the least amount of punishment for him would be to return to his country (Nigeria) and that he was planned to be arrested as soon as he entered Nigeria. 

He told Interpol that the charges against him had been punished with deportation, fines or imprisonment. Recall that you were arrested in Cotonou when you were about to travel to Germany, when your house was searched and many people were arrested.

 His lawyers have warned against sending the activist home. It has also been labeled as illegal under international law.
